SenesTech Launches New Brand and Website for ContraPest® “The Pest Control Difference”

PHOENIX, May 5, 2021 / PRNewswire / – SenesTech, Inc. As the industry leader in fertility management, ContraPest® offers pest control a highly effective and sustainable addition to integrated pest management (IPM). The renaming represents SenesTech’s evolution from a science-based research company to a solution-based, environmentally conscious, commercial company offering a new and proven tool for pest control management of the 21st century.

After more than five years of successful testing and use in municipal, agricultural, commercial and residential areas, ContraPest® has demonstrated success in reducing rat populations in a non-lethal, proactive manner. ContraPest® aims at the reproductive ability of both sexes in rat populations. Delivered in a very tasty, sweet liquid formulation that promotes sustainable consumption by rat communities, ContraPest® poses no risk to traders and non-target populations of wild animals, farm animals and pets.

The rebranding “The Pest Control Difference” provides a platform for SenesTech’s new initiatives, including:

  • Partnerships and collaborations with key distributors such as Agri-Turf Distributing, Veseris, BWI Companies, and Pest Control Experts (PMPs) to improve customer satisfaction by incorporating ContraPest fertility management into their pest control programs.
  • Admission of sales representatives in key regions to meet customer needs and support channel partners.
  • Two new websites ( and focused on our unique and innovative approach to fertility control and how best to incorporate ContraPest® into an IPM program.
  • A loyalty and rewards program called Rodent Rewards that gives customers the opportunity to earn rewards for purchases and refer their friends.

“This will prove particularly timely as we are no longer considered a restricted use product California, and intensify our efforts in this state considerably, “said Steve Krause, EPP for commercialization. “We have a strong track record of making existing IPM programs more effective. ContraPest® is a significant addition to rodent pest control programs as it dramatically improves overall effectiveness. With new restrictions on some deadly rodenticides, there is a growing need for new solutions to control rat populations. ContraPest can make that difference, “said Kenneth Siegel, CEO of SenesTech. “We’re working with industry to shape the future of pest control by adding fertility control to the status quo.”

ContraPest® has been approved for use by the Environmental Protection Agency and is for use in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

About SenesTech

SenesTech is changing the pest control model by targeting one of the main root causes of the problem: reproduction. ContraPest® is an innovative technology with an approach that targets the reproductive ability of both sexes in rat populations, induces egg loss in female rats, and impairs sperm development in males. Using a proprietary bait delivery method, ContraPest® is delivered in a very palatable liquid formulation that encourages continued consumption by rat communities. ContraPest® was designed, formulated and sold in such a way that it poses a low risk for users and non-target species such as wild animals, farm animals and domestic animals, in which the active ingredients are rapidly broken down.

We believe that ContraPest® will establish a new paradigm in rodent control, resulting in less reliance on deadly options. For more information, please visit the SenesTech website at
